The head quarters of FREE, an organisation focussed on self reliant regeneration of underprivileged rural communities. We host community meetings, music/cultural festivals, local food and craft markets, trainings in permaculture, ecosocial entrepreneurship, and regeneration; and are building community food/training gardens at the site.
This is achieved by uniting individuals and communities through knowledge, sharing and working towards a common goal eg. food production, local enterprise, ecological education, community resilience, and fulfilment of basic needs.
FREE also provides mentorship, training and access to funding of splinter micro-enterprises formed under it’s wings. This automatically feeds into business activity and momentum thereby fueling economic regeneration within communities.
We are at once a collective of concerned citizens acting together for the greater good, and an outlet for the innate creative potential of individual members to flourish. FREE recognises that economic viability underpins the capacity for underprivileged communities to effectively engage in the Great Turning, and that these communities are home to a wealth of indigenous knowledge, creativity and resources which are necessary for the global regeneration movements achieve rapid tipping points.

I am a single homeschooling mom and a 14 year old home schooled son who wishes to do nature conservation after his abet matric. We are both looking for an eco village where we can live, contribute and learn and get a fresh start- somewhere in sa /the eastern or western cape. -South Africa.
We are very committed in our search for such a place. We have both lived in communities before and i have a lot of skills to offer. we both love people and animals.Anyone out there?
