Happy Castle is a community-driven eco-village and arts collective dedicated to self-sufficiency, creativity, cooperative-entrepreneurship, and sustainable living.
Nestled in the high desert, we are building a unique off-grid village where art, sustainability, and cooperation shape daily life. Our principles center on participation, mutual aid, environmental responsibility, and radical self-expression. We believe in the power of shared resources, collective-effort, collaborative decision-making, and hands-on learning to create a thriving community that redefines how people live and work together. Our ultimate goal is to channel our collective experience and resources towards direct-action and activism aimed at radically accelerating the eco-village movement and reversing climate change.
Through our cooperative efforts, we are constructing Superadobe Earthbag domes, sustainable infrastructure, and communal spaces that allow us to live in harmony with the land and each other. Our campground features interactive art installations, rentable domes, event spaces, and cooperative-businesses that help fund our long-term vision. The annual Happy Castle Art Festival celebrates creativity and community, bringing together artists, builders, and dreamers to co-create an immersive experience.
Our goal is to establish self-sufficiency for 25 full-time members in Phase One, with plans to expand housing, food production, and income-generating projects. By hosting educational workshops, volunteer build days, and skill-sharing events, we empower visitors and members alike with the tools they need to establish sustainability in their own lives while strengthening our collective future.
Happy Castle Art Camp is more than a place—it’s a movement. We aspire to demonstrate that intentional, sustainable living is not only possible but deeply fulfilling. Together, we are building a model for a new way of life—one that prioritizes connection, purpose, and ecological harmony.
