Currently there are 5 members of the community living on the land and numerous volunteers, students and local residents attend keela for workshops, open days and courses.
Keela was established as a community in 2016 with 4 people moving to the land together and started working on restoring an abandoned agriculture farm into an abundance of food and life through Food Forests, Agroforest and land restoration activities. We have established working Permaculture systems with various natural buildings including Straw Bale, cordwood and cob.
Now there is an abundance of food, living areas, a community building and eco toilet, showers, solar panels and spring water.
This is a busy community ad due to the size of the land there is a lot of work to keep the place alive
in 2025 we have decided to increase the number of people are currently accepting new community members

Dear Sir or Madam,
My name is Lo Allariz, and I am a dedicated and enthusiastic professional with a background in nursing and a profound passion for sustainable farming. I am currently in search of a farming community where I can contribute my skills and further pursue my interest in sustainable agriculture.
Throughout my journey, I have acquired a distinctive set of skills through hands-on experiences in gardening, participation in international farming programs, and my background in nursing. These experiences have not only equipped me with practical knowledge but also instilled in me a strong commitment to fostering sustainable and eco-friendly farming practices.
I came across your farming community and was intrigued by the values and ethos it represents. I am writing to inquire if you are open to welcoming new members into your community. I believe that my unique blend of skills and passion aligns well with the values of your community, and I am eager to contribute to its growth and success.
I would be grateful for the opportunity to discuss my potential involvement further and learn more about the community’s mission and objectives. Please let me know if there are any additional details or requirements I should be aware of.
Thank you for considering my inquiry. I am looking forward to the possibility of becoming a part of your vibrant farming community.
With gratitude,
Lo
