Kasese District is one of the districts in Uganda in the sub Sahara region in Africe. Its 50% land is occupies by natural resources that is Mt Rwenzori, Lake George, Lake Edward, Kanzinga Channel and the queen Elizabeth National Park. This in my mother land of origin and a place where i and my colleagues have put efforts together in the fight against poverty, environmental destruction, early child marriage and humanity rights abuses especially of women and children.
Economic empowerment through vocational skills training and information accessibility and environmental conservation of the key impactful projects that since 2016 have changed the lives of many. over 300young girls are now self reliant and support themselves and their young families. Over120,000 plastic waste bottles have been permanently recycled reducing on the amount of waste disposed to to the rivers and lakes. in summary,
– Two training halls have been constructed using plastic waste bottles
– One main house a health unit has been constructed using plastic waste bottles.
Vision: A healthy, empowered and self-sustaining community aware of its rights and protect those of children for immediate and long term development.
Mission: To empower rural communities in defending the rights of women and children through information accessibility and training services.
