Thabarwa centers are designed to be open spiritual communities. With the simple philosophy of DOING GOOD DEEDS, we help ourselves by helping others. By doing good actions we create the causes for good results. For this reason, we work with all types of volunteers and donors to make what seems impossible possible. Our centers are open to everyone, Buddhist or non-Buddhist, old or young, sick or healthy, layperson or monk.
We currently have a total of roughly 115 centers located in Myanmar, USA, Thailand, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan and Vietnam. Our largest center is in Myanmar where there are over 3,000 residents. In this same center we also have four hospital wards where we take care of many sick people and elderly. In addition, everyone is housed and fed free of charge. It doesn’t matter if you are homeless, sick, elderly, a convict, a monk, a nun, suffering from addiction, a volunteer or a stray animal, Thabarwa is a refuge for all.
We currently have two centers operating in Italy. The one located in the north, Alessandria, is known as the Thabarwa Center Serravalle Scrivia. The one in the south, Calabria, is known as the Thabarwa Center Cinquefrondi. If you are interested in visiting either of these centers please click on one of the links below:

Hi 🙂 I would like to join you in about and are willing to help with good deeds. I have experience i permaculture and carpentry. I also love to cook. I would like to stay for a longer period, months if possible for you. If I can arrive in a couple of days? Is both the south and the north center open and available?
Kind regards

I like to visit you to have an idea of how you live and to know more about your community. I am currently looking to live in a community as a member and resident. Unfortunately I could not open any of your links for the 2 Italian communities. Maybe you can send me a link to your website. Thank you Love to hear from you. kindly Ela
