We are a conscious community—united in a life of connection, awareness and simplicity.
Through daily meditation and conscious movement practices, we deepen our self-awareness and connection with ourselves. We support each other through daily activities, reflections, and challenges. Together we inquire into the nature of the mind to remember the root cause of our suffering and pain. We create a space where we can be vulnerable and authentic. By sharing our struggles and reactions openly and honestly, we bring clarity to doubts and find peace with who we are and each moment as it is.
We are grounded in slow living, sharing plant-based meals, and living close to nature and to ourselves. Life here is about being rather than doing. Together, we’ve cultivated a sanctuary where you can stay present, be conscious, and build resilience.
We are five members plus a one-year old who are currently based in Obidos, Portugal, where we focus on building our inner foundation and strengthening our connection through shared living and daily practice.
We host life-awareness retreats and welcome those interested in joining our conscious community. Our retreats and daily community life are one and the same. We live in retreat as a way of life. Whether or not guests are present, our schedule remains the same—rooted in awareness, conscious slow living, and simplicity. This means you’re entering a space that doesn’t just talk about presence—it lives and breathes it.Each day is devoted to practice, rest, and connection. During break times, we also engage in our conscious community projects.
We invite you to be part of our community—whether for a short stay or a longer journey. You’ll be supported to go deeply within, free from unnecessary distractions.
Here, we reflect. We remind. We simply are.
As we grow together, we envision settling on a piece of land in the coming years—a space to nurture a conscious way of life for generations to come, and stay awake.

Mittermuller – Life Journey and Work
My life has followed an unusual path, shaped by personal experiences and a long-standing commitment to spiritual and social work. They opened up a sensitivity to energy and gave me a different way of understanding life.
I came to see clear patterns in my life that helped me understand my purpose and This clarity led me naturally into teaching and supporting others. Over the years, I’ve led many courses, retreats, and meditation sessions — both independently and through organisations like the Art of Living Foundation. These included silence retreats, past life meditations, and other spiritual programs. Many people who participated in these courses experienced meaningful change and insight.
For more, Hi initiatives yoga and meditation in prison in NZ and Australia I worked in over ten prisons, supporting the inner growth and wellbeing of more than 3,000 inmates. The work grew naturally, based on connection and trust, and eventually expanded into Australia. Unfortunately, the programs came to an end due to financial and organisational shifts, but they left lasting impact.
My teaching has taken me to several countries, including Germany, New Zealand, Australia, and India and Philippines, Fidjy and Samoa
Before this, I studied Environmental Science in Germany in 1986 and worked for many years in environmental education and sustainability. I ran awareness campaigns and workshops, and in 2000 helped start Auckland’s first building recycling project in New Zealand.
I’ve also facilitated hundreds of past life regression sessions around the world, helping people explore inner themes and life questions. I’ve continued to update and adapt my work over the years. including
Through it all, my intention has remained the same. I want to support people in finding clarity, healing, and direction. I see my work as practical, grounded, and flexible — shaped by real human needs rather than fixed beliefs or systems. My goal is to keep contributing in ways that are useful, whether through teaching, one-on-one work, or community support.
My body was diagnosed with Huntington a few years I am sure everything can be healed .
I’ve just retired in New Zealand and looking for new opportunities at the moment and am planning to go to back for a while
