We are people who want to live lives of moral justice and intellectual achievement in physical and mental health. It seems to us that our requirements (moral justice, intellectual achievement, physical and mental health) are fundamental to what it means to live well, and that life in modern industrial consumerist society is incompatible with how we want to live. Our conclusion is that we must attempt to build lives in alignment with our requirements outside that society. This is what we are attempting to do. Specifically, we are working toward the creation of an ecological community of ten to twenty families. Our goals are:
* To live in community, where we know each other and have a sense of belonging;
* To work and consume sustainably, returning to the natural world as much as, or more than, we take from it;
* To stay open en connected to the world, serving to teach and inspire.
