Zeměsouznění (which means “Earth-consonance” in Czech) is the first ecovillage in the Czech Republic.
- Zeměsouznění established its first legal form in 2017 – the Zeměsouznění association, which became the first legal form of the future ecovillage.
- In 2020 the association bought a plot of land with an area of 24 ha in the area of the now defunct village of Pěčkovice (near Karlovy Vary) in the west of the Czech Republic. It is a former village gradually abandoned by the forced displacement of the German population after the end of World War II in the 1950s. At the time of the arrival of Zeměsouznění, the former village was reminiscent of only two abandoned barns and several overgrown foundations of buildings.
We are building the first full-featured ecovillage in the Czech Republic with integrated social, ecological and economic sustainable holistic solutions. Our goal is to organically grow up to approximately 150 tribal members.
Our Vision: “We develop a regenerative culture in the Czech Republic, being conscious participants of the ecological transformation of the Planet Earth, collaborating to live in harmony with nature and creative energy.”
Our keywords: permaculture gardening, natural buildings, alternative energies, traditional crafts, alternative currency, homeschooling, courses of personal development and spirituality, cooperative entrepreneurship, solidarity economy, closed regional production-consumption circle of basic food, water, energy, buildings.

Hi Linda,
thank you so much for your message. We just finished the translation of the website in the past weeks into English, but we did not managed to upload it yet, so the web is still only in Czech language. I will let you know as soon as it will be done. Regarding members/participants from outsidde of Czech I would have to admit the language could be problematic. As we have some non-Czech members, but they speak Czech. And we have some Czech members who only speak Czech.
For sure we are planning to be open to international visitors, participants and supporters or volunteers. But we still need to remember that we are a very new project and this is a plan for the future that has not been discussed and resolved yet.
For now, I can recommend some interesting projects on the German side of the border. But I’m sure you know about them. 🙂
With warm regards
Eliška
