Gaia Ashram Ecovillage Volunteer and Internships program is a 3-6 months learning opportunity offer throughout the year. Participants can choose their entry date.

START WITH ECOVILLAGE LIFESTYLE EXPERIENCE WEEK
Before joining us as volunteers and being part of our community We highly recommend you to join our Ecovillage Lifestyle Experience Week to get introduction to ecovillage lifestyle and community living. This course will give you deeper understanding of holistic sustainable living, Permaculture design principles and Ecovillage Design principles. The course will make your volunteering and internship experience much more enriching as you will have better understanding of the principles of holistic sustainability behind our works. VOLUNTEERING WITH US
Volunteering with us you will experience more and explore deeper into ecovillage lifestyle, Permaculture in practices, community living in practices. You will gain hands on experiences, making connections with like minded people, learn how to co-create a healthy and supportive community. You will have space to share your knowledge/ skills and stories with others and learn from others. Volunteering at Gaia Ashram is much more than just working. We design routine and volunteer works in each week with various activities for holistic learning for volunteer. See more information about volunteer works and routine HERE.

For volunteering with us We ask for a contribution of 2,450 THB per week. This contribution will help us to cover some operational cost ie paying the cook, the managers & mentors/instructors and other logistic arrangement cost.

Volunteering with us without taking the Ecovillage Lifestyle Experience Week(ELEW) require commitment of two weeks minimum. Volunteering after ELEW program requires a commitment of one week minimum.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Once you have done volunteering with us and you have found clarity on your area of interest and want to develop skill and experience in that area, then you could ship to Internship program.

Our Internship program is an empowering stage of learning where you take leadership in the community, in your area of interest or expertise. You are ready to join our Gaia Team Circle. You are very clear and highly motivated to deepen your path. You have problem solving mind. You are self motivated to do more study & research in your field. You can design or take on a project and able to complete it. you are willing to share your knowledge and expertise with others in the community. You can take care an area in the community be it related to social dimension, ecological, economic or spirituality. Gaia Ashram will provide mentorship throughout your internship period. BECOME A RESIDENT IN OUR ECOVILLAGE
To become a resident at Gaia Ashram ecovillage you have to go through a process which include the following;
Experiencing : Starting with joining our Ecovillage Lifestyle Experience Week. This course you will be learning and experiencing about ecovillage lifestyle, Permaculture, Deep Ecology & Nature connection, our values and practices at Gaia Ashram. this will give you a grimes and decide whether or not ecovillage lifestyle is for you or if Gaia Ashram is the right place for you. Exploring : Volunteering stage. The stage of volunteering is a stage where you explore yourself in support of the community; who am I? What are my passion? What are my place and role in the community? How to contribute to the community and to the land and how the land and community contribute to me. What is my part in the greater whole? In this stage you will be working and exploring different areas of Gaia Ashram. Volunteering stage takes two weeks minimum. Learn more about our Volunteering Program.

Empowering : Internship Stage. Deepen your commitment to your path and empowering yourself by taking leadership in your field, stepping into a leadership role where you feel comfortable this is happening in our Internship period. Belonging : Being a resident. Feeling that you belong here and that Gaia Ashram is the right place for you meaning that being here you feel a sense of meaning, connection, your basics need can be met, knowing how you could best serve life and serve the earth by living at Gaia Ashram and you are committed to live together for a minimum of one year.
