Symposium 2016
The Intentional Communities Research and Enterprise group will be hosting their second symposium entitled ‘Intentional Communities – Living the Good Life’ on the theme of sustainability and low impact living. The day will consist of presentations from academics and researchers with expertise in the field, a series of themed workshops from practitioners, and culminating in a panel discussion where you will have the opportunity to put your questions to a panel made up of people who can who can help get things started – help with finance, planning and even politics.
The full range of speakers is yet to be confirmed, but we hope to have a range of participants including specialists in eco-developments, funding options, planning, and affordable housing.
The symposium will be held on Thursday 16th June at the SWALEC stadium (previously the Glamorgan Cricket Club) in Cardiff. The stadium is easily accessible from the city centre and about a 20 minute walk from the main train and bus stations. There is limited free on-site parking and Sophia gardens pay and display car park is a short walk away.
There will be a nominal charge of £27 per head which includes all refreshments and a buffet lunch.
We hope that you will be able to join us, for what should be an exciting day and the opportunity to renew old acquaintances and make new contacts.
