A two-week course of log house construction is suitable for everyone who wants to learn the basics of this type construction.
The whole process of constructing a small log house will cover several areas:
How to prepare the logs:
– ordering suitable timber
– marking, measuring, selecting logs
– removing the bank and peeling logs
How to build a wall:
– the basic principles
– choosing the first log
– choosing the following logs for the wall
– drawing and cutting notches
– drawing and cutting saddle notches and grooves
– making window and door holes
During the course you will build a small house from pine logs. Previous skills in the field of construction from logs are not required, but you must be aware that you will do a lot of physical work during the course, so be physically prepared. The course will also cover some short theoretical lectures in the classroom, but most of the course will be practical work on the site.
