Nissii Christian Academy is a child rights-focused organization that upholds well being of the children and conserves the environment to retain the dignity of the mother earth..we work closely with the community members, specifically women, youths, children and volunteers we further collaborate and work in liaison with the government agencies, local CBOs (Community based organizations)/NGOs and local faith-based organizations, as key stakeholders to enable meet both our short and long term objectives.
Nissi Christian Academy is a nonprofit organization, found in Kisui Village along the shore of Lake Victoria where fishing activity is the key economic activities besides peasant farming and micro business activities. For along time children rights have been violated and many children are subjected to different form of child labour, early marriage, rape and defilement beatings and all frustrations. Many children are left orphans and vulnerable due to HIV/AIDS , insecurity (ethnicity division and classes) and other forms of illness attributed to poor and inadequate health facilities around. The situation is heart touching and goes beyond paper explanation. Come and feel !!!!
Due to high poverty level around the environment has never been spared as it seen as key source of survival through cutting of fire wood and charcoal burning attributing to a high level of deforestation, lowering the dignity of the mother earth. Nissii Christian Academy has come in-front to safe guard the children and the environment. We therefore plan for a major campaign in December 2019 and we intend to the whole community , all Government agencies and civil societies organization, international well wishers and volunteers to join us in this campaign to help us work for the children and the mother earth and community participatory approach will be the key methodology . Participation will be free and this will also offer participants ideal opportunity to interact with the community experiencing a culture, have round table dialogue, share ideals on global issues like climate change, gender streaming, health and insecurity among others setting to enable us realize the sustainable development goals. we appealing to all interested individuals, or organization to contact us for more details so that we can work together and create change. Each day for 7 days, we will share 3 interviews with activists, experts, and leaders from the global movement to build a regenerative world. You will be invited to share in online discussion and event participate in the Summit in person at “hubs” based in locations around the world.
