Gaia Education Training of Trainers Programme

December 18, 2017 by Ginny Gegg

The glocalisation tide is rising… and addressing the urgent need to nurture the empowerment of local action in the face of global challenges.

Gaia Education is embarking on a path to support Glocalisers in building capacity for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals at the local level.

By completing the Gaia Education learning journey and becoming a Certified Trainer, you will enhance your competences for ushering in the transition of our communities – one at a time.

Over the past months, we have had the pleasure of welcoming 16 new Glocalisers to our family of Certified Trainers, whose inspirational stories you can read here.

Join the next Training of Trainers (ToT) and become one of them! Unleash your abilities to facilitate transformative learning environments and foster conversations towards creating local platforms for learning and collaborative action.

The next ToT will be held at the Bornok resort, Thailand, between 9 and 25th January 2018.

You will learn to:

  • Negotiate tensions between global and local and navigate between the two spheres in language, ethics and implementation.
  • Facilitate participatory learning journeys where you teach the four dimensions of sustainability in ways that support participants to empower themselves both inwardly and outwardly.
  • Become a maximiser of the edges between different communities with differing modes of operation, power structures, cultures, physical environments and worldviews.
