The ReGEN4All project works to make the knowledge gained within and through ecovillages more accessible both for research and policy decisions on sustainable lifestyles and living environments. The project partners are GEN Europe (represented by GEN Research), ISCTE-IUL (Center for International Studies / University Institute of Lisbon), ECOLISE and LOES, the Danish Ecovillage Network.
The past three years of the COVID-19 crisis and its resulting societal disruption have underscored the value of the regenerative solutions pioneered by ecovillages. At the same time, they have confronted ecovillages with many challenges and decisions regarding the well-being of their residents and their connections to the broader world. With the initial phase of the crisis past, we can now begin to harvest from scholarly research and the diverse ways ecovillages have responded to this global situation as we grow our in collective knowledge and build our communities of practice.
Please join us for the second colloquium of the ReGEN4All project, where we will discuss ecovillages in times of COVID-19. We will be joined by Macaco Tamerice (Damanhur), Lucilla Borio (Torri Superiore), and Beatriz Arruda (CASA Brazil research coordinator ). We will explore questions such as: How have ecovillages navigated lockdowns and economic disruptions? What were the main challenges they faced? What were the main learnings that emerged from this global crisis? What do the changes brought by the pandemic mean for our global movement?
Participants are warmly welcome to engage in the conversation. You can register for this FREE event here.
