The YVE Ghana is a professionally youth-led environmental non-profit association, registered with the Registrar General’s Department with registration number: G-24,710 on the 24th June, 2008, promoting youth participation in environmental conservation, climate change advocacy, policy analysis, renewable energy, waste management, water, health, solar and sustainable development.
YVE Ghana is a member of Jeunes Volontaires pour l’Environnement (JVE International) present in 24 African countries, and African Youth Initiative on Climate Change (AYICC), UN-ECOSOC, UNFCCC and Ghana CSO network and National Committee on Climate Change Policy Framework.
YVE- GHANA is at the forefront of mobilizing a stronger youth environmental movement in Africa to build capacity of youth in climate change and environment as well as engage in policy dialogue with stakeholders in finding possible solutions to reducing the impact of climate change in Africa and especially in Ghana. YVE is also at the grassroots engaging youth in communities and schools in all parts of Ghana to volunteer their time and effort in solving environmental problems one at a time.
Mission
YVE Ghana’s mission is to educate, support and strengthen the capacity of Ghanaian youth to involve them in the process of sustainable development.
