We are a small international team from the USA, Kenya, and Rwanda. Our project is the Kinigi Eco Center in Kinigi, Rwanda, near the entrance to Volcanoes National Park, where the famous mountain gorillas live. Kinigi Eco-Center will be a unique eco-tourism destination that will teach and inspire sustainable living with a special focus on permaculture and upcycling. We will be supporting the local community and improving natural areas throughout East Africa, as well as providing a venue for performing artists and crafters, supporting the arts, and uplifting vulnerable people. Our visitors will leave inspired and informed, better equipped to lead more sustainable lives. Even as we are still in our infancy and the Center has not yet been built, we are taking small steps to teach and inspire sustainable living, and give support to those in need. We the Kinigi Eco Center team are passionate about doing all we can to help create a healthier planet and brighter future for all, beginning at our amazing destination at the heart of Africa.

Hey! I found you! It is wonderful to see a picture of you, finally. Your place IS beautiful. I will show this to my mother and sister. As an update, our cousin, Glenn Watkins did pass away. You would have liked him….always full of nonsense.
I will keep up with your website for updates on your project!
Take care and stay safe,
Deanna
