Trillium is a wilderness community and retreat center tucked into a vast valley of the Siskiyou Mountains of Southern Oregon. From ridgetop to the riverside, we are immersed in pristine nature where we have the opportunity to develop unique skills, share knowledge, or simply enjoy this breathtakingly fertile and rugged landscape.
Available NOW: “Gompa Sol” – perched on a south-facing ridge with spectacular views. This 890 s.f., 2-story cabin needs to be remodeled extensively or rebuilt to be habitable. The site is gently sloped and lends itself to a cabin design that’s nestled into the hillside on the north, and glazed to the south – a perfect setup for a passively heated and cooled structure. Manzanita, oak, and madrone trees makeup the nearby forest. This secluded site is offered for $95,000. At this time there are other cabins available to live in on the property during the construction phase.
“Ridgetop” – nestled in white oak trees along the ridge is a rustic but comfortable 360 s.f., 2-story cabin. This hand-built cabin has a kitchen with a gas stove, lofted bedroom with queen bed and views to the treetops, and a sitting room with magnificent sunrise/sunset views. Offered for $105,000.00
These cabins both have epic locations. While this provides amazing views and privacy, it also lends itself to rustic-living realities of accessibility, water, and power. Access is via a dirt road with limited vehicle access in wet conditions (golf cart ok, car is not). Both are off-grid without water hook-up although there is excellent south-facing solar access for an off-grid array and location is ideal for a rainwater catchment system installation. Well and spring water is available elsewhere on the property to drive up to the cabins in the meantime. With some investment and resourcefulness, you can readily bring these up to your standard of living. Our community is in full support of its members living well.

I have a medical background, gardening, some horticulture. Live permaculture, off grid and cooking and baking, and preserving. Looking for long term community.
