Yasna Sloboda is a community of families united by general core values.
We wanted to combine life in nature with a Waldorf education for children.
We explored other Russian communities and didn’t find existing solution for this purpose.
And we decided to create ecovillage with people who have close way of thinking.
The project has been developing for 4 years. Now there are 15 Families in the community from different parts of Russia.
We have a Waldorf education centre with 5 highly qualified teachers and 28 children.
We practice sociocracy as a method of management and decision making, and even provide trainings in developing horizontal management.
Our community also has a choir and a theater project for adults.

We are inviting people who want to unite their life in nature, to have holistic education for their children, communication, everyday-life-cooperation with people who have close way of thinking and a possibility to work in the ecovillage.
We want to combine advantages of the country life (fresh air, private house, eco-food) and the city life (fast internet, quality education, accessible infrastructure).
We designed our ecovillage for 35-40 families. Such number of families allows to have fillable school and kindergarten and to be solid community.
Ecovillage area is 70 acres: about 0.7 acres for each family; the rest area for common projects: agriculture and farm, workshops, playgrounds, guest houses, ponds, school and kindergarten (look up “What we intend to build in ecovillage”).
Each family self-manages its own piece of land.

Am kennedy odira opiyo, I come from Kenya and resides in mfangano island in side lake Victoria. here in our community I work with orphans, disables, widows and the elderly persons. am there fore looking for volunteers whom can work in our community.
