Description of Challenge
Maybe you have heard it said “That’s just the way life is”. And sometimes this is true, but not always. When we are passionate or committed to something we want to improve, or change, one of two things might happen? Sometimes, the part of us that says "that’s just the way it is" will win and nothing will happen. Sometimes, though, a change can happen when we think: "That’s just the way it is until some person or
people make them change and I can be part of that change".
“I have not failed. I have just found 10,000 ways that won’t work” - Thomas Edison
Solution
Finding the motivation is one important step. We can also answer the question of what
we want to be an entrepreneur for. Perhaps to unlearn the old and learn about the new;
to grow and develop as a person; to build autonomy and spread empowerment; to
take responsibilities; to share and share out…there are many reasons.
Competences that have been identified as key for entrepreneurship include:
Personal competences: self esteem, social and communication skills
Entrepreneur competences: initiative, curiosity, creativity, open mindedness,
responsibility, leadership
Technical competences: technical knowledge, experience, IT skills
Management competences: project management, finance, accountancy
