Poverty is on the increase.Solution
Since its registration in 1996,Better world Cameroon has been promoting and implementing ethically & culturally sustainable development through cooperation in its youthcamps and Permaculture training. We apply innovative Eco Village Education and Permaculture Design Techniques to empower youth entrepreneurship.
We are building an eco-lodge as a social incubator to improve sharing, learning and global citizenship
Goals of the Design:
•Using Permaculture Principles to step up agricultural production and expand social business start ups
•Help deal with the problems of climate change / soil degradation and set a precedence in using a low carbon economy in biodiversity conservation, promote corporate social responsibility in the private sector in general.
The social, economic, ecological and worldview aspects:
•We organize short and long term international Youthcamps for capacity building and networking of youth actors and as social integration actions aimed at achieving global sustainability.
•We run small community centers in rural environments which take into account the rural economy and the needs of the individual, the environment and cultural heritage
•We carry out effective projects that tackle the causes of poverty and deprivation and bring about a long-term difference to the lives of the most disadvantaged people in the Community resulting in the following outcomes:
•Improved access to and use of natural resources to benefit the most disadvantaged people
•Improved ability for the most disadvantaged people to exercise their human rights
•Improved livelihoods for the most disadvantaged people by enabling communities in need, both rural and urban, to reduce poverty in a sustainable way through entrepreneurship.
Current stage of implementation
•The Ndanifor Permaculture Eco village (NPE) registered on the Global Eco Village Network www.GENAfrica.org has been working to create an alliance of youth networks in Cameroon and the central African region through GEN Cameroon- Pan African affiliate of GENAfrica (in advanced stage of registration).
