Description of Challenge
The Argan co-operatives are usually left with a considerable amount of natural waste from Argan oil extraction. Finding a sustainable use for the recycling of the nuts and shells in the form of fodder increases food sources for cattle and prevents wastage.Leftovers from Argan nuts after the oil extraction is excellent fodder for cattle.
Solution
The leftovers of Argan nuts are the shells from the crushing, and an oily paste from the extraction. While the paste can be re-used domestically as a beauty mask, the shells make a good fodder for the cattle as it full of nutrients.
