GEN Ambassador
Adam is an award winning social entrepreneur and ecosystem builder - dedicated to the innovation of impact, crowd, and capital in the global South. Over the last 20+ years Adam has co-founded 2 businesses, 5 social enterprises, 2 networks, and supported the emergence of 2 movements. He was awarded an Ashoka fellowship for his role in creating safe-spaces for green technology innovation during the Arab Spring. As the co-founder and managing director of iceHubs Global – an international network of technology innovation hubs - he worked to transform local challenges into sustainable businesses across four continents. Over five years, the network trained and connected over 40,000 innovators in more than 500 local events - ultimately supporting the formation and/or growth of over 600 green businesses. His work has taken him across the full-spectrum of entrepreneurship pipelines: from launching innovation hubs and agri-business incubators to growing and connecting entrepreneurship ecosystems in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Adam’s most recent effort is the creation of a new type of financial system-change, called Prosparity - a radically new approach to mainstreaming impact finance. The platform was inspired by Adam’s belief that social businesses raising the base-of-the-pyramid are the impact investing opportunities of tomorrow.
