Experiment in the Southern Great Hungarian Plains

I have been hosting since 2017 on Wwoof, and since 2023 on Workaway. Many people have taken part in the farm's project in this time. Most volunteers were searching for their Eurasian roots, or wishing to help their fellow neighbouring country folk. I enjoy company, working together and/or communicating our ideas about life around the table, or just sharing space in this habitat where I live since 2014. I coordinate a company and an organisation parallel to hosting volunteers.

I've been living on the Blue Farm complex since 2014. I strive to impliment my knowledge of traditional crafts, customs, architecture, agriculture and animal husbandry to continue life on the plains. Parallel to farmlife I also coordinate a company and an organisation parallel to hosting volunteers. With the organisations' work we've brought many quality craftspeople from all over central Europe to the farm complex to take part in our cultural events, where the keywords are "History. Tradition. Sustainability." With the company I am also keeping contact with collegues in my professional fields that include pottery, weaving, costume design and horsemanship. In all of these fields I search for a sustainable approach, learning the local, basic materials, using the techniques I learned from my own region's local teachers, knowledge that was handed down from generation to generation.

In my childhood I grew up in the United States, which is why I speak American English fluently. I always had a fascination with languages however, and through volunteers I try to maintain a good level of German, but I have also taken to learning French. I wish to expand my language knowledge to a Slavic language as well, such as perhaps Polish or Russian.
I have visited many countries throughout Europe, and also have connections internationally in Northern Asia and the Americas. Through them I learn of other cultures, and how other peoples are also learning to appreciate their traditions. This motivates me further to understand my own regional, Central European roots and transition them into a sustainable state today.

Primary interests: Woodfire pottery, Textiles, Longriding, General horsemanship, Cattle herding, Traditional architecture, Traditional permaculture, Edible forestry
