I am Momodou Barrow In 2019 i founded the M.L Jallow Ecovillage Project The Gambia,Member of Global Ecovillage Network GEN Africa. The Motto are ( Think Globally , Act Locally ). . .(The planed and designed by me )
One thing that the project drives and wants to promote is to popularize the idea of volunteer work , promote indigenous people knowledge,skills and Volunteerism, community engagement.
Named the project after my late indigenous mother to maintain her legacy.
Recently ,We successfully planted over 30 different varieties of fruit trees (Think Globally, Act Locally Rural Urban Tree Planting Campaign) In Mamuda village . It was a massive success . It was a long journey but we finally convinced and involved youths ,village elders and women's in tree planting activities .
We are also delighted to inform you that we are working inline with that of the GLOBAL DIVERSITY .WE THINK AND ACT GLOBALLY . WE PLANT TREES WITH HEART AND SYSTEM. We shall be to create a conductive Eco- tourism environment, using both local and modern technologies and promote organic farming/agronomy of crops, flowers, plantation cultivation and mitigation of Climate change & Volunteerism impacts in our livelihood.
Yuna Village is located in
Brufut Provincial area is a town near the city of Serrekunda, in the Gambia, near the Yuna Village Garden Hotel. A wide, palm-dotted beach stretches along its Atlantic coastline. The Brufut Woods Community Project is a nature preserve home to birds like owls and cuckoos. Southwest of town, the Tanji Bird Reserve occupies the Tanji River estuary and its islands. The reserve shelters raptors and migratory birds, as well as rare monk seals and nesting sea turtles
