Narayan Solanke

Mr. Narayan Vitthal Solanke is Founder and President of Universal Versatile Society an UNEP and UNCCD accredited organization. He is Executive Director of ‘Weekly World Climate Change News’ (#wwccnews) and Editor in Chief of Weekly Rajput Rang. He is working in social sector since 2005 and active in education, climate change and women empowerment in rural Vidarbha of India. I hold Bachelor and Master’s degree in Mass Communication & Journalism and also have completed a certificate course in 'Journalism in English' by University of Pennsylvania.
His contribution to initiate the cleanliness campaign in different villages in Maharashtra by publishing a book called ‘Swacchatetun Samruddhikade’ was appreciated by Government in 2008. The book was published by ‘Gadgebaba Amravati University’. In 2004, he has represented India in iEARN-Slovakia International Conference. Since then, he turned to climate change issue and received invitation for TUNZA International Conference on environment at Bandung, Indonesia which was sponsored by UNEP and Ministry of Environment, Indonesia. For his efforts in education he has been called to Education Project Conference at Bahrain, then twice to European Summer School at Leipzig University Germany. To raise the issues of local community he is publishing weekly newspaper which has now crossed the state level circulation. For his contribution in social work, he has won awards like ‘Icon of Washim’, ‘Man of the Year 2018’, ‘Man of the Year 2005’ and ‘State level Teacher Award’, etc.
