GEN Ambassador, GEN Regional Representative
I am the founder and the Chief Executive Officer of the GROW BIOINTENSIVE agriculture Centre of Kenya G-BIACK. G-BIACK is a Kenyan rural community based project that specializes in farmer training in sustainable agriculture and other community based development solutions that are aimed at improving the living standards of the poor resource farmer collaborators. G-BIACK promotes the GROW BIOINTENSIVE Agriculture, a sustainable form of agriculture where no chemicals are used and specific practices allow for Biointensive planting (close spacing of plants for increased volume/yields). We also practice permaculture principles and other ecologically sound agricultural techniques. The project targets smallholder poor resource farmer collaborators. I hold an advanced diploma in community based development and a diploma in Sustainable agriculture majoring in GROW BIOINTENSIVE. I have extensive experience of over 15 years of working with smallholder farmers in Kenya and some other of African countries. I have assisted to train over 15, 000 farmers over a period of 15 years. I grew up in a small farm where my parents were growing their own food, using indigenous knowledge. My personal goal is to assist the world population feed itself using healthy food producing practices and to eradicate extreme poverty.
