Hi, we are Juan, Paz and our sons Clara and Mario. Juan is a shepherd who studied forestree engineer and philosophy. Paz is all her life working with medicinal plants, destillation, perfums and garden healing. We began our project on March 2012 as this complete valley was over 50 years abandoned. We habe made a Logical farm near the top of the mountains of extremadura, inside a forest, reconstructing all houses and restoring all fertil places as terraces (the place is similar to machu pichu :-) Our purpose is to recover and expand the forest and the fertility of the land using traditional ways of working with animals, plants and constructions, having the biggest respect with the nature and leaving behind us a future more fertil and seeded than consumed. Our philosophy is that the trees we plant now are going to feed the next generations and so on. We are not a company and we are not looking for big economic profit. We already planted 500 fruit trees and other 1000 for reforesting the mountains and many medicinal-aromatic plantations
At the moment we have around 30 animals goats, sheeps, mainly. But our main income cames from the plants and courses we are giving in schools and around spain.

In our farm we are completing a bio cycle with water, plants and animals. The fields contains the plants that provide health to the forest and the animals... and flavour to the milk and the cheese. Giving health away give us health inside. Many rivers are borned in our valley sourrounding the houses, so all water is much pure and good for drinking. We also provide us health through the vegetable garden (orchard) and sprouting natural seeds. Then we take care of the wild plants around, wild trees, the fields to make the hey, making all the cultural works to keep them happy and reproductive.

The goats go to the cliffs everyday cleaning and recovering the old ways that nobody used for a long time.
They will eat the best food an animal could eat...just pure natural and healthy plants from the clean nature from the mountain. Later they will came back bringing the best to make our products.

We live up in the mountains, 3.5 km from thee village in a wild place. Our houses have very long views at the front, at the back we are close to the cliffs, and at the sides there are several small rivers. We keep a big forest with a big biodiversity just beside our houses. The place is like a little paradise!! Respect for the earth is our fundament.

Solar energy is provided, as solar hot water shower or night bath between fire and stars.

*️️️️️️ We ask volunteers to stay with us at least a month as is much work for us to explain all procceses, and if the people goes quickly is not more worth, think about it, if you want to sheperd, milk, make cheese, learn about plants and help out a little in the farm is better when you get used to it, and if you go in this moment you just not realice other realities from the place. Is my opinion. Of course if you know already about milking and other facts of the farm then is not a problem to stay shorter. And of course volunteers that want to learn more and stay longer are very wellcome

Best wishes and thanks to all of you helpers of the nature, helpers of the world.
