Queremos ofrecer un Curso en el que aprender, experimentar y profundizar en algunos aspectos de la Bioconstrucción, de manera profesional, familiar y cercana al mismo tiempo. La Bioconstrucción es un campo muy amplio, por eso hemos decidido dividir este curso intensivo en 2 Módulos específicos: El Primer módulo es Fuego y Barro, y en el trabajaremos elementos como: Estufas de masa térmica, hornos de leña, estufas rocket, adobe,….. Aprendiendo a construir con materiales sanos y naturales, adaptados a nuestro hogar y necesidades; para obtener una mayor eficiencia, salud y calidez en nuestro hogar y cuidar en medio ambiente al mismo tiempo. EL segundo módulo es Estructuras Vegetales Naturales, y en este trabajaremos la construcción de estructuras tales como: domo geodésico, yurta, techos de cañizo, arcos y columnas de cañas, que pueden ser urilizadas para construcción de pérgolas, invernaderos, sombreados, escenarios y mucho más….; todo ello con materiales locales vegetales: caña y pita (ágave). Las personas interesadas pueden apuntarse a los dos módulo o también solo a uno, el que más les interese. Aprende las bases de diseño para crear bosques de alimentos: 29 octubre- 1 noviembre Curso de Introducción al diseño de sistemas agro-forestales (bosques de alimentos) en Permacultura Caña Dulce, finca de 1,5 hectáreas, donde venimos desarrollando un bosque de alimentos desde hace 17 años. En 1999 empezamos de cero, ya que la finca llevaba abandonada 13 años cuando llegamos. Hemos creado y seguimos manteniendo un sistema agro-forestal con alta biodiversificacion (más de 400 variedades y sub-variedades de plantas, arbustos, frutales, enredaderas, etc…) donde ya estamos recolectando toneladas de alimentos al año, potenciamos la biodiversidad, la autoregulación del sistema, cosechamos agua, tierra, cerramos ciclos, captamos nitrógeno, no polucionamos, etc… Se trata de un curso basado en el estudio y puesta en práctica de estos sistemas llenos de bondades y muy adaptables a diferentes posibilidades. Desde Arterra Bizimodu se va a abrir unos días al voluntariado para realizar una serie de trabajos en los cuales precisamos mucha más gente que nosotras mismas. Para ello, necesitaríamos un grupo de entre 10 y 15 personas. Se valorará las ganas de poner vuestro granito de arena al proyecto sean cuales sean vuestros saberes y competencias. El periodo de voluntariado será del 18 al 25 de septiembre de 2016 y pedimos un compromiso mínimo de cinco días de trabajo. Se acerca el invierno y queremos enfocar estos días en labores necesarias para prepararnos para el frio y el tiempo de descanso de la huerta. Los trabajos que se abordarán serán básicamente preparar LEÑA (cortar, apilar, construir leñeras…) y la DESPENSA DE INVIERNO (cosechar, congelar, embotar, etiquetar…). Durante el voluntariado: Tienes la oportunidad de acercarte a conocer el lugar y compartir con el grupo en una fórmula de intercambio labores/estancia. El trabajo consiste en una media de seis horas/día aprox. En principio de mañana y algo por la tarde. Las comidas las hacemos en común en el comedor de Arterra Bizimodu. Los desayunos y cenas (se realizan en la cocina de visitas) son responsabilidad de los voluntarios; tanto en proveerse de lo necesario, como en “cocinar” lo que precisen. Arterra BM puede adquirir algunos productos como aceite, sal , productos de la huerta, etc… al precio de coste . Solicitamos así que las personas traigan aquellos productos que consideren. The Pioneers of Gaia Ashram , 5th of July– 2nd of August 2015 The Gaia Ashram Internship is a one month program on Ecovillage Design, Permaculture and Deep Ecology. The internship will be a holistic participatory learning experience & process. Interns will experience being part of the Gaia Ashram Community and we will live together for one month at– Gaia Ashram-. At Gaia Ashram we belief in holistic learning that balances the head, hands & heart. Gaia Ashram encourages participatory learning & values the power of community in holding the learning space. We design the daily & weekly structure of the internship and of our lives here based on these values and principles. Theoretical learning (Head) The theoretical sessions will be participatory and interactive. It will cover the 4 keys of Ecovillage Design Education (Social, Economical, Ecological and Worldview inspired by Gaia Education). Each week will cover one of the Ecovillage Design Keys and integrated into this we will be introduced to Permaculture Design & Deep Ecology in terms of philosophy, movement and personal experiences. Come study the art and practice of natural finishes. Learn how to utilize breathable, low impact, non-toxic materials to make protective, beautiful and durable finishes. In this in-depth hands-on workshop you will be applying earthen plaster to the interior and exterior of a Tiny Home, the Cedar Nest, at Wilson Creek Gardens. The Project The Cedar Nest is an on going project that started in 2013 utilizing 95% repurposed materials from a 1920’s home and from the land at WCG. The structure is designed to demonstrate simple construction techniques in a small footprint, 11’x16’. It was in-filled with a straw clay slip last year and now is ready for the walls to receive the final plaster layer. We will be utilizing mostly on-site materials. What You Will Learn: • Sourcing and processing materials for making your own healthy, low cost finishes! • Proper methods for natural ingredients when preparing and applying clay based plaster. • Practice making and applying other types of finishes which can be applied to other surfaces such as; cement, bricks, drywall and latex paint. • The many advantages of constructing a tiny home with ecologically friendly building techniques.
