We’re in the middle of the possibly most cataclysmic event in the history of the planet, which is tied to the way we live in our industrial and profit-oriented civilization, which (amongst other factors) makes us drawn towards an autonomous and completely decentralized subsistence living by locally handcrafted self-sufficiency free of state-corporate control and influence.
We believe in communal or tribal reciprocity as a possibility, but also in individual sovereignty and we have a dream that we as humans can create a culture where we use a sense of responsibility in the way we use natural resources, each other, forces and spirits of nature and listen to and work with forces of nature (preferably in a direct spiritual way also) to live balanced and sustainably.
We want to create a community of people who prepare for extreme disaster in the future, in order to survive as a species but also to mitigate our part of the crises we have created.
At the moment we are practicing relevant practical skills especially in areas of hand made and small scale food production, processing and storage and various traditional crafts and hand made construction techniques and systems.
We have all been scouting for land and have come to the conclusion that Sweden is a good candidate for this project because of several factors (where we have stumbled upon a few very good offers), but principally it could be other countries.
We also save up money in our own ways separately, since all of us live geographically separated from each other, actually in 3 different countries at the moment (Norway, Sweden, and Denmark).
One of us has made a bold move and bought a house on auction in order to renovate, improve, and sell for profit in order to gain more financial power for the project.
Money gained and saved will be used to purchase land, tools, seeds, plants, and other things agreed upon by the community that will enable us to live a moneyless life.

Start by sending an email and we take it from there.
Then casually we would like to just get to know each other a bit first, but also in a slightly formal way in terms of your thoughts about community, our western society, vision, values, and other things and then maybe eventually we would all like to meet up in person.
It is a possibility that new members could move to my big house (one of the members in Denmark) already learn things together and practice social things and decision making and group solutions, while we scout and find land, save up money and finally sell this house and use all the finances to make the jump into the final physical location for the project.

My name is Gemma Boyd. I’m a 45-year-old vegan Englishwoman, yogi and GEN member who has become passionately interested in ecovillage life having become involved with a number of future-thinking communities and people with similar values and beliefs as my own such as Transitions Ilford, The Stoa, Jim Rutt, Nora Bateson and Ria Baeck and her work with Collective Presencing. My dream is to join a European project such as yours.
I am a heartfelt, incisive and versatile professional musician, private music teacher, published writer, mixed media artist, Forward Prize-nominated poet and organic gardener with international experience, who charges fair and appropriate rates.
My wish is to enhance face-to-face communication, creativity and connection for the well-being of diverse communities in an age where all living beings are facing existential crisis.
Currently I am interested in performing live music in safe and original ways, learning more about facilitating wholehearted creative workshops for groups, and in becoming an ecopreneur in a non-capitalist setting.
I was wondering if you could send me more information about how to go about joining your project please? I can speak some basic Norwegian too. Many thanks.
Kind regards,
Gemma Boyd

Hi Gemma,
Thank you for that comment, glad to read it and my apologies for responding a bit late. Sometimes I am have small periods without internet usage.
We do it very casually at the moment, where people interested in this sort of project just get in touch and we start to write back and forth about who we are, values, visions and all kinds of other details. But first just send an email to:
[email protected]
Also please note that the project is still in infancy where we learn skills, save up money, research, plan etc. There is no physical location, so new members should know that and be willing to take part in that stage of development of the project.
So please get in touch, write an email, would be happy to communicate more.
Kind regards,
Rune
