What typically wows visitors of the ecovillage are the organic gardening and local food production. The extensive gardens consist of individual garden plots as well as communally managed gardening spaces.Local sources of energy and water are used on the property, such as solar panels, swales, and a well. The community supports human-powered transportation (biking, walking). An electric vehicle charging station is available for residents as well as the surrounding community.Residents are encouraged to employ frugal use of energy and resources. They also employ the use of permaculture inspired methods such composting, re-using, upcycling, recycling and ecological sanitation in their daily lives.
