Forests are necessary for our futures, exchanging more CO2 for oxygen per acre than other life forms. They also support most of the biodiversity on planet earth.
And yet for liability and policy ease, most human communities are encouraged to destroy forest communities as dangerous to housing and property.
In the Pacific Northwest the trees grow large, therefore several acres are cleared to safeguard one single house! Such outdated regulations are left over from the pioneer days when forests were so abundant that a house was considered more valuable than a forest.
However probably your grandchildren would much rather save a tree (or treehouse) than an earth house.
This forming ecovillage seeks to promote conservation and reclamation of forests by showing the comfort, security and ease of living debt-free with the trees.
Additionally, there are many other sustainable solutions available to a thinking community including RESOURCE-BASED-ECONOMICS. The future cannot be the past; your grandchildren will thank you for improving upon your grandfathers’ role.
