The beauty of the Chinese landscape is at the heart of our experience at the House of I. We are here to create meaningful connections between people and place. We aim to foster a holistic relationship of body, mind and heart. Ours is an emergent centre, within a housing development company called Heritage Chateau. Our ambition is to become an eco-education venue with a special focus on connecting ecovillage projects in China. We combine the best of eastern and western modalities such as Tai Chi and yoga, TCM, and Chinese culture with a group of local Chinese experts and International teachers from North America and Europe, who are engaged in co-creating a unique, integrated curriculum for living in harmony with the earth. Since 2015, we have been key members of the Holistic Centres Network and we hosted the HCN Gathering in October 2015. We have created an eco-education syllabus for our kindergarten school and have built an organic model garden from recycled materials adjoining the school area. The project includes some large properties , each of which have an organic vineyard , and we produce our own wines. There is also an art community engaged in cultural activities such as art exhibitions, a museum, eco-exhibitions and a new community centre. We write and produce our own songs and music and have created 4 CDs of ‘House of I’ in-house music. This is used in all of our cultural events and given as gifts to our visitors. We offer beautiful spaces for meditation, yoga, musical events, workshops and conferences. International visitors are welcome to use these spaces as venues for eco-education , and to join us for our new International Volunteer Progamme (IVP). “For me, the most enriching part of my experience at the House of I has been the nourishing connections with the delightful and wonderfully welcoming people here! The warmth and outgoing nature of so many of the Chinese people I have met here has been ” William from Scotland , IVP October 2019.

Dear Dorota,
This is wonderful news! It is great to see the House if I finding its own purpose and place in the network of eco-villages.
However I think that one detail needs to be rectified to maintain the integrity of the all statement: the building you are mentioning can’t be defined eco-properties not even if they have their very own organic vineyard!
With love
Swan
