brief background and values
despite what is happening to us & around us, it is our duty to struggle with the situation that we find ourselves in to make it better.
that means a lot of things. both as individuals & as a society we need to call upon our deeper strengths, reorganize ourselves in new ways, build new skills & re-imagine our behaviours to deal with what we have. we need to practice & build courage, perseverance, competence & cooperation. the more we do that the better we will become.
the seeds of this journey were perhaps sown much earlier than what our conscious memory can recall. the ideas started manifesting in different ways until we decided to pursue them with whole of our energy in 2009. as we went along our experience & ideas expanded, more emerged & the next step to explore their manifesting in us & our work became obvious:
• coexistence & collaboration
• integrity, courage & competence
• dignity & trust
• equality, truth & justice
• freedom & responsibility
• inclusivity & participation
• individual, family & community wellbeing
• self determination, self sufficiency & sustainability
sagg eco village (www.saggecovillage.earth) is an effort to see this in practice, since 2012.
