Description of Challenge
In our time of cultural transition, as old paradigms give way to a new narrative for our humanity, young people need special support in creating a life filled with purpose, connection and healing for our planet. The challenge is finding access to worldview-shifting experiences, a community of fellow changemakers, and developing right livelihood. In modern culture there is a profound absence of support structures for youth, the kind of initiatory processes that were present in indigenous cultures
“Challenging” and “interesting” are not good enough, because our gifts are sacred, and therefore meant for a sacred purpose”
Ecovillage Pathways is an annual three-day event hosted at ecovillages throughout the U.S. and Canada. The event brings together a community of young changemakers, giving them a first-hand learning and living experience in ecovillages. NextGEN North America (NextGENNA) has developed a flagship curriculum, certified as “Inspired by Gaia Education.” Over the course of three-days participants are guided through various learning experiences related to the network of regenerative communities worldview, dimensions of sustainability, group processes, and personal development. The intention of this event is to support attendees in creating a life filled with purpose, connection, and healing for our planet.
