Almarte

Co-Founder of Almarte Foundation — uniting art, soul, and earth through regenerative cacao farming and permaculture in the Dominican Republic. We are currently four people living near our 120 ha farm, building the basic infrastructure to grow into a fully self-sustaining ecovillage.

🌍 User Description

I am Sascha Stockem, Co-Founder of the Almarte Foundation, dedicated to regenerative land use, cacao agroforestry, and community building.
Together with our partners, we cultivate a 120-hectare organic permaculture cacao farm in the Dominican Republic, home to over 100,000 trees, including 60,000 cacao trees.

Almarte stands for the union of art, soul, and earth — alma (soul) and arte (art).
We believe that regeneration is not only an agricultural practice but also a cultural and spiritual process — where creativity, ecology, and community come together.

Our mission is to build an ecovillage on our cacao farm — a living example of harmony between humans and nature, combining permaculture, art, and collective living.
Currently, four of us are living next to the farm, as we continue building the basic infrastructure — water systems, electricity, and community spaces — to fully bring the ecovillage to life.
