Shane Sylvanspring

Shane is a passionate social activist, town planner and ecovillage designer. Shane has been part of creating two large ecovillage projects, Bunjil Ecovillage in VIC and Bruns Ecovillage in NSW, both which did not eventuate. Shane however has been key in creating successful communities in the past as well as the current ecovillage he resides in Balaya Buyul. Shane has delivered many ecovillage design courses inspired by the EDE (which he completed in Findhorn in 2011) to over 200 people.

The community is a land-sharing community consisting of 24 adults and 13 children (and growing) ranging in ages from 0-70 years. We care for a beautiful 95 acre property near the town of Mullumbimby with a mix of waterholes, rainforest, food growing and livestock.
